Welcoming Soni Grint to Luke’s!
We are so thrilled that we got to host Soni Grint a second time this year! Her camp in January sold out so quick and was so popular we invited her back for a second time! Soni spent two days this week at our Kentucky VIP Club house teaching us all her software and digitizing secrets. She sure had a lot to share with us! She’s been a part of the embroidery industry for many years – both as an educator and developer – and has been described as one of the best embroidery educators out there! It was a real treat learning from her – and we’re excited to have her again. She makes digitizing accessible, fun and easy!
Over the course of two days, we learned how to create in-the-hoop projects, experimented with lettering, and crafted our own cutwork and applique designs. We also got to see some of her own creations first hand and how she applies the tools she teachers to her personal projects- such great inspiration for our own digitizing!
It wouldn’t be a Luke’s event without door prizes and food! We had great lunches both days – sandwich wraps, pasta salad, macaroni and cheese, ect… and TWO big winners – one for each day! Alice won a collection of Maderia thread valued at $700 and Crystal won an iron valued at $200! There were also plenty of deals on notions and accessories for anyone who wanted to stock up.
