Tri-County Sewing For Australia

We had a wonderful group of ladies who joined us in making pouches for Australia and local Wildlife Rescues.  We have had many many ladies generously donate fabric, pre cut and helped us sew.

Luke’s Sewing Center Staff and our Volunteer Sewers and helpers want to give a Very Special Thank you to Grant Career Center!  They provided custom made templates cut out for us from plexiglass in their industrial arts engineering program.  This made our lives so much easier.  Thank you again Grant Career Center!!!

We had 17 ladies that came to support this cause and they all worked so hard.  We made close to 200 pouches and many more to come over our upcoming three sessions.  Brenda was such a wonderful and enthusiastic host.  She even dressed for the part with her Aussie inspired hat and jacket.  We had Australian Trivia, Singing by the very talented Stacie and gave away gifts!  Everyone enjoyed a nice lunch together and had a great time sewing for such a wonderful cause!
