Table Runner

Supplies:

Quilt Binder
1/3 yard cotton duck home decor fabric
3/4 yard cotton for weaving
Sewing thread (cotton works best)
Foam core board
Fray check (optional)

Cutting Instructions:

From Decor Fabric, cut 17″ x width of Fabric
From Cotton, cut 12 strips 1 3/4″ x width of Fabric

Sewing Instructions:

Thread with Cotton sewing thread top and bobbin.
Press a double ½” hem on each long side of the home dec fabric.
Stitch the hem in place.
Trim the runner to your desired size, if desired, keeping in mind that the woven borders will add 10”.
Place two of the 1¾” strips of fabric right sides together as shown, and stitch the joining seam.
Attach your Interchangeable Dual Feed (or AcuFeed) and snap on the foot that comes with your Quilt Binder.

Following the instructions that accompany your Quilt Binder, attach the binder.
Cut the end of your strip into a point, and feed it into the binder.
Pull the strip under the foot and touch Start/Stop. Watch the magic happen!!!!

And now it’s time to find your inner child.
Cut your stitched strip into 10 pieces 18” long and 48 pieces 5” long.
Pin five of the 18” long pieces to the foam core board.
Put that inner child to work, and weave 24 of the 5” strips into the long ones.
Repeat to create another one the same as the first, for the second end.
Trim the long strips to the same width as your runner and the short strips so ¾” is sticking out on each side.
Place one of the woven ends right sides together with the hemmed decor fabric, centered.
Snap on your Standard foot.
Stitch with the woven section up, stitching next to the long strip.

Select your right needle position straight stitch . (Refer to Photo)
Fold the woven section out, with the seam allowance towards the decor fabric. Align the edge of your foot as shown, along the edge of the fabric. Topstitch the seam. This will keep the seam allowance in place and also prevent it from fraying.
Repeat on the other end of the runner.
